Shin Tae-yong Akan Latih Timnas Indonesia di Piala AFF 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ketua Badan Tim Nasional (BTN) Sumardji memastikan Shin Tae-yong (STY) akan melatih Timnas Indonesia di Piala AFF 2024. Hal tersebut juga telah disepakati oleh Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir.
Lebih lanjut, BTN mengungkap jika skuad SEA Games 2023 akan diturunkan untuk AFF, sementara Timnas Senior akan fokus bertanding di ronde 3 Kualifikasi Piala Dunia FIFA 2026 zona Asia.
"Kalau senior ini sudah disepakati dan kemarin sesuai arahan Pak Ketua Umum PSSI (Erick Thohir) saat rapat, itu beliau menyampaikan dan sudah sepakat dengan coach STY bahwa yang akan dipakai untuk AFF adalah tim yang bermain di SEA Games 2023," ujarnya.
Di Piala AFF 2024, Indonesia tergabung di Grup B bersama Filipina, Laos, Myanmar, dan Vietnam. Pertandingan tersebut akan digelar pada 23 November-21 Desember mendatang.
