SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Tunggal putra Anthony Sinisuka Ginting harus mundur dari turnamen BWF Super 750 India Open 2025 akibat cedera tangan.
“Anthony Sinisuka Ginting mendapat cedera tangan saat berlaga di Malaysia Open pekan lalu, sehingga kami memutuskan untuk menarik dia dari turnamen India Open 2025,” ujar Ketua Bidang Pembinaan dan Prestasi PP PBSI Eng Hian.
Ia mengatakan bahwa kondisi Ginting masih akan diperiksa lebih lanjut untuk melihat apakah ia bisa tampil di turnamen BWF Super 500 Indonesia Masters 2025 yang akan bergulir pekan depan.
“Untuk Daihatsu Indonesia Masters, kami masih melihat kondisinya dahulu setelah diperiksa tim medis di Jakarta,” kata Eng Hian.
Eng Hian juga mengatakan bahwa Ginting saat ini masih berada di New Delhi, Ia untuk hadir pada Managers Meeting India sebagai bagian dari peraturan Top Committed Players.
India Open sendiri berlangsung mulai 14-19 Januari 2025 di New Delhi. Absennya Ginting membuat Indoensia hanya menurunkan lima wakil pada turnamen tersebut.
Kelima wakil tersebut yakni tunggal putra Jonatan Christie, tunggal putri Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, ganda putra Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, dan dua pasangan ganda campuran Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti serta Rinov Rivaldy/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
