FIFA: VAR Sudah Bisa Digunakan Dalam Liga 1 Indonesia pada Mei 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Liga Indonesia Baru melakukan uji coba tahap terakhir untuk pengaplikasian Video Assistant Referee (VAR) di Liga 1 Indonesia, Senin (25/3).
Setelah uji coba, Federasi Sepak Bola Internasional (FIFA) memastikan teknologi VAR sudah dapat digunakan dalam pertandingan Liga 1 pada Mei mendatang. Namun, FIFA akan tetap memantau dan mematangkan pemahaman wasit terkait protokol penerapan VAR tersebut.
Project Manager Technology PT Liga Indonesia Baru, Muhammad Syafiq Bahanan, mengatakan jika ke depannya akan ada empat wasit yang bertugas di lapangan, yaitu satu wasit utama, dua asisten wasit atau hakim garis, dan satu wasit cadangan.
Selain itu, ada tiga orang yang akan berada di dalam ruangan yang terdiri dari wasit VAR, asisten wasit VAR, dan operator VAR. Saat ini, Indonesia telah memiliki 13 wasit yang berlisensi VAR dan 22 orang berlisensi asisten wasit VAR.
