SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia's U-17 national team directly qualified for the 2025 U-17 World Cup in Qatar after defeating Yemen 4-1 in the second match of Group C of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup, Monday (4/7)

The match, which was held at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sport City Stadium, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ensured Garuda Muda appeared in this year's edition of the U-17 World Cup which will be held on November 3-27.

This victory also ensures Nova Arianto's foster children collect six points so that they qualify for the quarterfinals of the Asian Cup final and an automatic ticket to this year's U-17 World Cup.

In the remaining matches, Indonesia will only face Afghanistan. In the first match of this group last April 4, I Putu Panji Apriawan cs beat South Korea with 1-0.

These two wins allowed Indonesia to occupy the first position in the Group C standings, above Yemen, South Korea and Afghanistan.

The top two teams in the group phase of this year's U17 Asian Cup qualify automatically for the U17 World Cup, which will be followed by 48 teams this year.

The positive result against Yemen was obtained through Zahaby Gholy, Fadly Alberto, and two goals through Evandra Florasta's strike.

Indonesia will have their final Group C match against Afghanistan. Later, whatever the result in the match does not affect Indonesia's ticket to either the quarter-finals of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup or the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
