Kluivert Said Japan Is The Best Team in Group C
Patrick Kluivert is officially the new coach of the Indonesian national team.
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesian national team coach Patrick Kluivert admitted that Japan is the strongest team in Group C. He said this ahead of the match against Japan in Osaka in the last match of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Tuesday (10/6/2025).
"Japan is the leader of Group C. I think they are the best team in this group. We have to play with our own style," said Kluivert.
The Indonesian national team squad is currently in Osaka to train. Rizky Ridho et al. arrived since Saturday (7/6) after winning over China at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.
The victory made the Indonesian national team ensure that they qualified for the fourth round. The Garuda team collected 12 points, the result of 3 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses.
In the first meeting in Jakarta, the Indonesian national team lost 0-4 to Takumi Minamino et al. In terms of quality, the Indonesian national team is indeed two levels below Japan.
Kluivert also acknowledged this. "Although it will be a difficult match, everyone knows that. But we have prepared ourselves and try to give our best tomorrow," added the Dutch coach.
