SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir stated that PSSI has officially received Eligibility to Play for Representative team letters for the three naturalized players Joey Mathijs Pelupessy, Dean Ruben James, and Emil Audero Mulyadi.

This also makes the three players able to strengthen the Indonesian national team in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification for the Asian zone against Australia (20/3) and host Bahrain (25/3).

“Alhamdulillah, Emil Audero, Dean James and Joey Pelupessy have passed the federation transfer process and can be registered for the Indonesian national team match,” Erick said.

Erick also believes that these three players who have experience playing in Europe can strengthen the Indonesian national team against Australia and Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup Qualification for the Asian zone.

Previously, Emil, Dean and Joey had undergone the oath and promise of citizenship at the Indonesian Embassy in Rome, Italy, on Monday (3/10).

In addition, they have also made Indonesian passports and identity cards on the same day.

“We also thank Mr. President Prabowo Subianto, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Leaders and Members of the House of Representatives, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Law and all parties who have helped and supported the process of accelerating the three players playing for the Indonesian national team,” Erick Thohir concluded.
