SEAToday.com, Shenzhen - Two Indonesian referees, Thoriq Munir Alkatiri and Bangbang Syamsudar, have been appointed to officiate at the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2025.

Thoriq and Bangbang, who are currently FIFA and AFC Elite referees, took the lead in the match between hosts China and Kyrgyzstan at the Boan Sports Center Stadium on Saturday (2/15). Due to the tense of the match, Thoriq gave out 10 yellow cards and 2 red cards.

"I am trusted by the AFC along with 11 other referees and 16 assistant referees including my friend Bangbang Syamsudar. I am very proud and happy to be in command of the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2025. Thanks to the AFC and PSSI for this opportunity," said Thoriq Alkatiri.

The two referees are still awaiting AFC assignments for the next match.

Previously, Thoriq and Bangbang also took charge of last year's AFC Champions League 2 match between Sydney FC (Australia) and Eastern SC (Hong Kong) at the Jubilee Stadium in Sydney on September 19, 2024.
