SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia will compete against the Philippines in the final group stage match of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 on Saturday (12/21).
PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir has set a target for the squad to win the match. He also asked the players and coach to focus on that target.
"Against Vietnam, it was calculated as a respectable defeat; a draw would have been extraordinary. The players showed good play. Not yet maximally good, there's an opportunity to be good," he said.
On the other hand, Erick Thohir also hopes that the players can use this event as experience, especially for upcoming matches such as the SEA Games 2025 and AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026.
