Impressive Debut for Lanny/Fadia at Indonesia International Challenge

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesian women's doubles duo, Lanny Tria Mayasari and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, delivered a remarkable debut at the 2024 Badminton Indonesia International Challenge, held on (10/24/2024), at Jatim Expo, Surabaya.
Their strong performance saw them swiftly advance to the quarterfinals after a confident 21-14, 21-11 victory over Thailand’s Pichamon Phatcharaphisutsin and Nannapas Sukklad.
Reflecting on their match, Lanny and Fadia spoke about the importance of adaptation in their first outing as a pair. Both players emphasized that their success stemmed from teamwork and communication, key elements they have worked on since their pairing.
“We’ve been focusing on adapting to each other’s game, and it’s been easier due to our similar ages and playing styles,” Lanny said. Their smooth collaboration was evident as they dominated the court.
Fadia, the playmaker of the duo, noted how their synergy allowed them to transition smoothly between defense and offense during the match.
“We’ve prepared our rotations and defensive-to-offensive transitions in practice, and that helped us a lot today,” Fadia explained. Their efficient coordination has quickly turned them into a formidable team.
Their goal for the tournament is clear: win the title and gather as many ranking points as possible to climb the global standings.
However, they remain cautious, choosing to focus on one match at a time. "Our target is to win, but we’re taking it step by step and keeping our concentration for every round," Lanny shared. The pair is also determined not to let external pressure affect their game.
Their success was echoed by fellow Indonesian women’s doubles pairs, including Siti Sarah Azzahra and Agnia Sri Rahayu, who fought their way into the quarterfinals after a tough three-game match.
Meanwhile, Arlya Nabila Thesa Munggaran and Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani secured an easy win against their Malaysian opponents, further proving Indonesia’s strength in the tournament.
