SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Persib Bandung extended their unbeaten streak in the 2024/25 BRI Liga 1 season after a 2-0 victory over league leaders Persebaya Surabaya on Friday, (10/18). The match, held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, saw goals from Edo Febriansah and Ciro Alves that secured three crucial points for the home team.

Despite this strong result, right-back Henhen Herdiana remained humble about his team’s success. "We got three points at home, but there’s still a long way to go, and a lot that needs fixing. This win doesn’t make us overconfident,” Henhen stated, as cited by ligaindonesiabaru, acknowledging that Persib’s journey to defend their title is far from over.

Henhen, who returned to the starting lineup after being benched in recent matches, credited head coach Bojan Hodak for the tactical shift that gave him the opportunity to play. Under Hodak’s system, Henhen was deployed as a right wing-back in a three-defender formation, a role he embraced with determination.

Despite the win, Henhen admitted that something felt missing during the match. With the game played behind closed doors, he noted the absence of the passionate Bobotoh supporters. “It felt incomplete without them. We usually hear their cheers from the stands. Hopefully, they can come back soon and support us fully,” he expressed, reflecting on how much the team values their fan base.

As Persib continues to build on their unbeaten streak, Henhen remains focused on improvement. He emphasized that while victories are important, maintaining consistency and addressing the team’s weaknesses are key to sustaining their campaign in the long run.
