Shin Tae-yong Hopes For Indonesia National Team In 2025

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Entering the new year 2025, Indonesia National Team Coach Shin Tae-yong expressed his prayers and hopes.
"Happy new year everyone. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy, be happier, and be successful in 2025," said the 54-year-old coach.
The prayer expressed by the South Korean coach was that the Indonesian national team could qualify for the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Closing 2024, the Indonesian national team is in third place in the Group C standings with six points from six matches. The Garuda squad is 10 points behind undefeated Japan and Australia with a gap of one point.
As quoted from Antara, the Indonesian national team still has four more matches left to determine its fate in the third round by facing Australia and Bahrain in March, and China and Japan in June.
Shin is targeting Indonesia to qualify for the 2026 World Cup by finishing third and fourth in the third round to get the remaining ticket in the fourth round path.
Moreover, with the current situation, Indonesia's opportunity to qualify faster by occupying first and second positions is still very open.
