SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Young Garuda Squad coach Nova Arianto revealed that his team showed positive developments after undergoing a training camp (TC) in Spain and competing at the Pinatar Supercup U-16 2024 against Switzerland, Scotland, and the Faroe Islands in September.

After the Spain TC, the Young Garudas continued to Qatar TC to finalize their strategy and strengthen the team ahead of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Kuwait on Ocotber 23-27.

"After arriving on the 3rd yesterday, the players' progress is very good. There were some players who were injured in Spain, but now, they have gotten better," said Nova, as quoted from the Kita Garuda official website, Monday.

During the TC in Qatar, the Young Garudas played two closed friendly matches against the Qatar U-17 on October 6 and 9, 2024. Nova expected his team to be able to give good performance in those matches.

The coach explained that the training camps and trials were conducted to find the best starting lineup.

"To create the best starting lineup of 11 players, we try them all. So, later, they will appear in Kuwait, in the first match," he said.

In the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Indonesia is placed in Group F, along with Australia, Northern Mariana Islands, and Kuwait. Indonesia will play their first match on October 23 against Kuwait, then October 25 against Australia, and October 27 against the Northern Mariana Islands.
