Athletes Urged to Remain Vigilant Against COVID-19 at Paris 2024 Olympics
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Chairman of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), Raja Sapta Oktohari, urged athletes competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics to be aware of COVID-19.
His statement follows the confirmation of six positive COVID-19 cases among athletes, namely five Australian water polo players and one English swimmer.
"We must not only be mindful of COVID-19 but also prepared for any other challenges that may arise during the games," Okto explained.
In addition to the ongoing COVID-19 threat, athletes will also face the challenge of France's hot weather. Despite these obstacles, Okto encouraged athletes to remember their hard work and dedication in reaching the Olympics.
