Shin Tae-yong Appreciates Young Garuda’s Fight at AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024
SEAToday.com, Qatar - The Indonesian U23 National Team coach Shin Tae-yong appreciated the fight of his footballers after the match against Iraq at AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024, Thursday (5/2).
“Congratulations to Iraq for qualifying for the Olympics. It's a shame we lost because we did our best. I thought Iraq played well in the second half.”
The struggle for the Olympics continues. On May 9, Indonesia will face Guinea in France.
For this reason, the South Korean coach will give his players rest and lift their spirits as high as possible.
“Of course the players are very tired and exhausted. I think for 2-3 days we have to focus on recovery without touching the ball. After that, there will be 3-4 days that we touch on tactics and analysis of the opponent’s game. I will try my best to bring this last opportunity to qualify for the Olympics. I hope 4 Asian teams will compete in the Olympics,” said Shin Tae-yong.
