Schedule of the Indonesian National Team vs Saudi Arabia and Australia in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Indonesian national team will soon begin the struggle in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the Asian zone. A total of 18 selected from the previous round are divided into three groups in this phase.
Indonesia, as the only representative of Southeast Asia, is in Group C with Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahrain and China. Only the top two teams in each group qualify for the 2026 World Cup. While the occupants of the next two sequences continue the struggle to the fourth round.
"Nothing is impossible if we try," said PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir.
The third round of qualifying starts on 5 September 2024 and ends 10 June 2025. Shin Tae-yong's men will face hosts Saudi Arabia in the first match. Pratama Arhan and friends then host Australia five days later.
