SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ahead of the BRI Liga 1 match on (11/1/2024), Persib Bandung’s coach, Bojan Hodak, has cautioned his players to be wary of Semen Padang FC. Despite Semen Padang's last-place standing and a recent 1-8 defeat to Dewa United FC, Hodak believes this match could be more challenging than it appears.
Hodak pointed out that the previous results and league position should not lead to complacency. “Semen Padang played not too badly,” he stated. He labeled the upcoming match as potentially dangerous, expressing greater concern for Semen Padang than for their last opponent, Persik Kediri.
One key factor affecting the match is Semen Padang’s longer recovery time. “They have extra days off,” Hodak noted, as cited by ligaindonesiabaru. In contrast, Persib has only had two days to prepare since returning from Kediri.
Hodak expects Semen Padang to approach the game fiercely, motivated to redeem themselves after their heavy loss. “They will come in fit and ready to prove that their last game was just a fluke,” he remarked. With this mindset, he reiterated that Persib should prepare for a tough contest on home ground.
As the match day approaches, the pressure is on both teams. Hodak's warnings serve as a reminder that any team can pose a threat, regardless of the standings, making the upcoming match a crucial one for Persib.
