SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia continues to impress in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Despite a 2-2 draw against Bahrain in a tense match held at Bahrain National Stadium, Thursday (10/10), the Indonesian national team managed to extend their unbeaten streak.

After falling behind early to a free-kick from Mohamed Marhoon in the 15th minute, Indonesia fought back to secure a draw and maintain their momentum.

The equalizer came just before halftime, with Ragnar Oratmangoen scoring in the third minute of added time. Indonesia then took the lead in the second half when Rafael Struick netted a beautiful goal in the 73rd minute. At that point, it seemed as though Indonesia was on the brink of claiming their first away victory against Bahrain.

However, despite holding a 2-1 lead, the game took a dramatic turn during stoppage time. The referee extended the match, and Bahrain capitalized on the opportunity with Marhoon scoring his second goal in the 99th minute. This last-minute goal denied Indonesia a crucial win but still kept their unbeaten record intact.

This draw added to Indonesia's strong performances in previous matches. They had already drawn 1-1 with Saudi Arabia and 0-0 against Australia, proving their resilience against some of Asia’s top teams. Shin Tae-yong's squad is quickly becoming one of the teams to watch in the qualifiers.

With three points from three matches, Indonesia now sits in fifth place in Group C. Bahrain holds a slight edge, being just one point ahead. As the qualifiers continue, teams like Uzbekistan, Iran, and South Korea also remain unbeaten, showcasing fierce competition for the few available World Cup spots.
