SEAToday.com, Bandung - Persib Bandung defender Nick Kuipers is excited about his team's match in the AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2). In the inaugural match of Group F, PERSIB will host Port FC from Thailand at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Thursday, September 19th, 2024.
Kuipers said he was proud to be able to appear with PERSIB in Asian level competition. This is the second opportunity for the Blue Prince (Pangeran Biru) to appear in Asian competition in the last 10 year.
As quoted from persib.co.id “Finally after so long, the Asian competition returned to Bandung. So we are very proud of what we have achieved with the team. Now we will start it and face tomorrow's match," said the player with the jersey number 2 at a press conference ahead of the match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Wednesday, September 18th, 2024.
Therefore, Kuipers ensured, he and his colleagues will try their best to win. Even though a number of players will be absent, Kuipers said, PERSIB will still give their best for tomorrow night's match.
"They are a strong team. We analyzed it yesterday and know what we have to do. We are preparing as usual. We are ready for tomorrow's match and can't wait to play an Asian match in Bandung after so long," he concluded.
