SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Many Indonesian netizens quickly rushed to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Instagram account. A video of Maarten Paes making saves, uploaded by the official MLS account on Wednesday (9/11), attracted a lot of attention.

Many of these Indonesian netizens commented on the video, with some cheering for the Netherlands-born goalkeeper.

In a match where the Indonesian national team played against Australia, ending in a 0-0 draw, Paes stood out. Interestingly, Indonesia’s opponents in the previous matches were two strong teams, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

This made Maarten Paes proud. “It’s a good result because we earned two points against two teams that regularly appear in the World Cup. There’s a 100-rank difference between us and our two opponents in the FIFA rankings,” said Maarten Paes.
