SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesian national team defender Kevin Diks is targeting a win over China on June 5.

Diks said this after the Indonesian national team won 1-0 over Bahrain in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Tuesday (2/3/2025) evening WIB.

"The next match is in June against China. Let's win again," he said as reported by Antara.

Diks played from the first minute in the match against Bahrain. Playing as a right wing back, Diks' penetration several times troubled the opponent's back line.

However, he had to be replaced in the 74th minute because he had received a yellow card. The Indonesian national team itself had been leading 1-0 since the 24th minute thanks to Ole Romeny's goal.

"Finally we won this match. I'm very happy to get three points today," he said.

Thanks to this victory, the Indonesian national team maintains its chances of qualifying for the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup. The reason is, the team coached by Patrick Kluivert has collected 9 points and is in 4th position in the standings.

The Indonesian national team is three points ahead of Bahrain and China who are below them. Realistically, the Indonesian national team has the opportunity to finish in fourth place and advance to the fourth round.
