SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Justin Hubner said he is ready to play for Indonesian National Football Team (Team Garuda). Hubner had just officially got Indonesian citizenship having taken an oath of allegiance at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights regional office in Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/12).
“I am ready to give everything for this country, our country. I am eager to join the national team in the training camp,” Hubner said as quoted from PSSI.
Hubner plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers U-20 in England. He had a chance to play for the Netherlands National Football Team before officially taking an oath of allegiance to Indonesia.
Now, Shin Tae-yong, Indonesia National Football Team coach, has six naturalization players in his team. Before Hubner, there were Sandy Walsh, Jordi Amat, Ivar Jener, Rafael Struick, and Shayne Pattynama.
The closest tournament in which Hubner can play is Asian Cup 2024 in Qatar. Nevertheless, the 20 years old player may still have to go into selection process.
