Indonesia Vs Laos in AFF Championship: Playing at Home, Extra Motivation for Marselino
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Marselino Ferdinan expressed his excitement ahead of Indonesia's second match in the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup (AMEC) against Laos. On (12/11/2024), he highlighted how playing at home energizes him and the team.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the 20-year-old midfielder admitted that the trip from Myanmar had been physically demanding. “This is my first time traveling like this. Usually, during AFF tournaments, we stay in Jakarta,” he said, acknowledging the fatigue but remaining determined.
According to Marselino, the support of fans at Manahan Stadium in Solo will be a massive boost. "Playing at home motivates us to give 100% of our best performance," he emphasized, stressing the importance of maintaining a positive mindset.
He also pointed out the team's advantage of quick physical recovery, especially with many young players in the squad. “Our recovery is faster, and that’s one of our strengths,” he added, showing confidence in their preparation.
Indonesia is set to face Laos on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 8:00 PM WIB. Marselino and his teammates are determined to secure three points and continue their positive momentum in Group B.
