SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir underscored the need for comprehensive unification among football stakeholders to achieve international prominence. (11/18/2024), marked Erick’s inauguration of the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) and Indonesian Beach Soccer Association (ASPI) in Jakarta as part of this mission.  

“I’m thrilled with this inauguration,” said Erick, emphasizing synchronization and total consolidation. He expressed hope that both futsal and football would excel, citing futsal’s recent AFF Championship win after a 14-year gap as proof of potential.  

Erick affirmed PSSI’s full support for futsal programs, aiming for sustained AFF success and higher world rankings, especially with the 2026 Asian tournament ahead. "Retaining achievements is harder than earning them, but we’re committed to this journey," Erick stated.  

Michael Sianipar, FFI Chairman for 2024-2028, voiced pride in Erick’s endorsement and future plans, such as hosting global events and revamping the professional futsal league. 

Meanwhile, ASPI Chairman Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo announced upcoming events like the Beach Soccer Indonesian Festival in Legian, Bali, and pledged broader regional development.
