Shin Tae-yong Prepares for Challenging Saudi Arabia Match

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - On (11/19/2024) Indonesia’s head coach Shin Tae-yong displayed trust in his squad ahead of their World Cup qualification match against Saudi Arabia.
“I trust my players, and the result depends on their effort and determination," he said at a press conference before the match, as cited by antara.
Indonesia, ranked 130th globally, faces a tough opponent in Saudi Arabia, who sits at 59th. "I believe in my players and will be motivated for the match tomorrow," Shin remarked, acknowledging the strength of their rivals.
Despite Saudi Arabia’s success, including their surprise win over Argentina at the 2022 World Cup, Shin emphasized the importance of understanding the team’s true capabilities. "We must focus on reality, and with support, we will do our best," Shin stated.
Thom Haye echoed his coach’s sentiments, downplaying the significance of their earlier draw in Jeddah. "The team is now fitter and stronger for the upcoming match," said Haye.
Shin’s optimism remains unwavering as he aims for Indonesia’s first win in the third round of World Cup qualifiers.
