Timnas Jepang Bawa Skuat Terbaik Hadapi Indonesia: Banyak Pemain Merumput di Eropa
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Sebanyak 27 pemain dipanggil oleh pelatih timnas Jepang, Hajime Moriyasu untuk menjalani dua partai tandang menghadapi Indonesia dan Tiongkok dalam lanjutan putaran ketiga Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 Zona Asia.
Indonesia akan menjadi lawan pertama Jepang dalam lanjutan ronde ketiga, pada Jumat (15/11) di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.
Berselang empat hari, tim Samurai Biru -julukan Timnas Jepang- akan menghadapi timnas tiongkok di Stadion The Xiamen Egret pada Selasa (19/11).
Dilansir oleh JFA, pemain-pemain yang dipanggil oleh Moriyasu sebagian besar merupakan pemain yang tampil di Liga-Liga Eropa.
Ada enam pemain yang tampil di Liga Champions Eropa diantaranya adalah Wataru Endo (Liverpool), Hidemasa Morita (Sporting Lisbon), Reo Hatate (Celtic), Kyogo Furuhashi dan Daizen Maeda (Celtic), serta Takumi Minamino (AS Monaco)
Hanya empat pemain yang tampil di Liga Jepang yaitu, Keisuke Osako (Sanfrecce Hiroshima), Kosei Tani (Machida Zelvia), Yuto Nagatomo (FC Tokyo), dan Kota Takai (Kawasaki Front)
Striker andalan timnas Jepang, Ayase Ueda tidak dipanggil oleh Moriyasu karena mengalami cedera. Meskipun tanpa kehadiran sang ujung tombak, pemain-pemain timnas Jepang patut diwaspadai karena memiliki kualitas yang sama baiknya.
Jepang telah mengoleksi 10 poin dan menempati peringkat pertama grup C dan unggul lima poin dari Australia, Arab Saudi serta Bahrain di peringkat kedua hingga keempat.
