First Phase of Training Center for Indonesian National Team in IKN Nears Completion

SEAToday.com, Nusantara - PSSI, with the assistance of the Indonesian government and FIFA, started the construction of the training center (TC) for the national team in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) on September 22, 2023. The construction consisted of two phases, and the first phase is set for completion on October 7, 2024.

The first phase saw the construction of two world-class football fields and one dormitory for 150 people, complete with physiotherapy, medical, and fitness facilities. Meanwhile, the second phase is for eight fields for football and other sports, dormitory, swimming pool, areas for tactical and physical practices, and a mini stadium for 600 spectators.

“This has been a long awaited dream-come-true for football lovers, where we finally make history by constructing a training center for our national team,” PSSI Head Erick Thohir said about the 180.6-million-rupiah project.
