Witan's Goal is not considered Valid; Rans Nusantara FC wins 2-1
Rans Nusantara FC managed to get full points over Persija in the 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 Competition with a score of 2-1 on Sunday (10/22) at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi. Witan Sulaeman's goal was apparently not considered valid by the referee, causing controversy.
With Witan Sulaiman's goal in the 90+4 minute, Persija should have been able to score an equalizer in the match. The ball from Witan's volley hit the post and crossed the line, but the round ball came out again and entered the field.
Referee Naufal Adya Fairuski did not consider the goal. The final score was that Persija Jakarta lost 1-2 to RANS Nusantara FC.
Persija's defeat this time was quite painful, considering that during the last four matches, Persija had never won.
Meanwhile, RANS Nusantara FC's victory made Rafi Ahmad's club immediately move into the top three positions, displacing Persib Bandung and PSIS Semarang.
In this match, Persija Jakarta even controlled the match from the start to the end of the match. Unfortunately, victory is not yet on the side of the Kemayoran Tigers.

Unfortunately, the ball that hit the crossbar and crossed the goal line 100 percent was not counted as a goal by the referee. There was a protest by the match officials, but the referee still ended the match with a score of 1-2 in favor of RANS Nusantara FC.
