Shin Tae-yong: Referee's Decision Biased, I Understand Players' Anger
SEAToday.com, Bahrain - The match between Indonesia and Bahrain ended in a 2-2 draw on Thursday (10/10).
In the post-match press conference, Coach Shin Tae-yong said, “Both teams did their best until the referee blew the whistle. However, I have to confirm the referee's decisions in the match again. If the AFC wants to progress, then the referees' decisions and leadership must also be improved.”
He also highlighted the extra time and referee decisions that were considered biased.
“About extra time, which should be six minutes but turns into more than nine minutes. Then, I think the referee’s decisions are biased. I think everyone can understand why our players are upset with these decisions,” he said.
On the other hand, Shin Tae-yong appreciated his team's hard work and willingness to give their best. The Garuda squad leaves for China before the match on October 15.
