SEAToday.com, Abu Dhabi - Indonesian surfer Rio Waida became the runner-up in the international event "Surf Abu Dhabi Pro 2025," which took place on Sunday (2/16).
He competed against Brazilian surfer Italo Ferreira in the final round. However, Rio's total score of 14.50 points was not enough to beat Ferreira's 17.27 points and win the title.
In an Instagram post on his personal account, the 25-year-old surfer admitted that he was happy but also felt disappointed because he finished in second place. However, this motivates him to work harder. He also thanked his team, sponsors, and family for their support during the competition.
