Erick Thohir Introduces 2 New Diaspora National Team Players Noa Leatomu and Estella Loupatty
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Chairman Erick Thohir introduced two diaspora candidates for the Indonesian women’s national team, Noa Leatomu and Estella Loupatty. This was announced in an Instagram post on the account @erickthohir, which also showed him having dinner and discussion with women’s national team coach Satoru Mochizuki and women’s national team assistant coach Takumi Taniguchi, Monday (6/24).
Erick said the two footballers are the descendants of Indonesians living in the Netherlands. Noa Leatomu (20) has a father who was born to a couple from Maluku, while Estella Loupatty (20) has a father who is a Dutch-Ambonese and a mother who is Dutch-Argentinian. Noa and Estella play as midfielders.
On the same occasion, Erick also discussed ways to strengthen the Garuda Pertiwi squad for important matches in the future with Takumi. The Indonesian women’s national team will play an international friendly match in July.
