Ratchanok Intanon Secures Indonesia Masters 2025 Victory with Straight-Set Win Over Sim Yu Jin

SEAToday.com, Jakarta – Ratchanok Intanon from Thailand claimed the 2025 Indonesia Masters title at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday (1/26).
Intanon defeated South Korea's Sim Yu Jin in straight sets, 21-18, 21-17, in the final.
In the opening game, Intanon quickly surged to a commanding 10-1 lead, a gap that South Korea's Sim Yu Jin could not close before the interval.
Following the break, Sim Yu Jin made an effort to narrow the scoreline, battling back with a series of attacks. She managed to catch up to 12 points and leveled the score at 14-14. However, Intanon regained control, winning four consecutive points to lead 18-14. Sim Yu Jin fought hard to narrow the gap again, bringing the score to 19-18, but Intanon sealed the game at 21-18.
The second game started with a back-and-forth scoreline until 4-4. Intanon then seized control, scoring seven consecutive points to lead 11-4 at the interval.
Sim Yu Jin attempted another comeback, leveling the score at 12-12. However, Intanon dominated once more, pulling ahead to lead 18-14. With a confident finish, Intanon clinched the second game 21-17, securing the title with a 21-18, 21-17 victory.
As the sixth seed, Ratchanok Intanon’s triumph marked her win at the 2025 Indonesia Masters, defeating Sim Yu Jin in the final.
