SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kylian Mbappe was on fire, netting a sensational hattrick to secure Real Madrid’s dominant 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid at Estadio Nuevo Jose Zorrilla on Saturday night (Sunday morning WIB). The win cements Los Blancos’ position at the top of the La Liga standings.

Right from the kickoff, Madrid took control, dictating the pace against Valladolid, who are currently rooted at the bottom of the league table.

The first real threat came in the 25th minute when Antonio Rudiger unleashed a powerful long-range strike, but Valladolid’s goalkeeper Karl Hein pulled off a brilliant save to deny him. The resulting corner, delivered by Dani Ceballos, found Aurelien Tchouameni, whose header narrowly missed the target.

Madrid finally broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, thanks to a slick link-up between Jude Bellingham and Mbappe. The French forward slotted the ball home with ease, sending Madrid into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The second half saw Madrid pressing hard, and it didn’t take long for Mbappe to strike again. In the 56th minute, Rodrygo’s lightning-quick assist set him up for his second goal of the night.

Mbappe came close to completing his hattrick in the 65th minute, but his left-footed shot drifted just wide.

Substitutes Luka Modric and Arda Guler nearly added to the tally in the 85th minute, but Modric’s right-footed strike inched past the post.

Madrid sealed the deal in the dying minutes when a reckless challenge by Mario Martin on Bellingham inside the box earned the Valladolid defender a second yellow card. Stepping up to the spot, Mbappe coolly slotted his third goal of the night, marking his first hattrick in a Madrid shirt and taking his goal tally to 15 in La Liga—just one goal behind top scorer Robert Lewandowski.

With this win, Madrid now sits comfortably at the top with 49 points, extending their lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid, who dropped points after a 1-1 draw against Villarreal.

Los Blancos are looking unstoppable—can anyone catch them?
