InJourney's Director of Marketing and Tourism Programs, Maya Watono, stated that this event is a catalyst for the development of a tourism destination. Moreover, the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia is also one of the efforts for excellent nation branding for Indonesia.

"The development of Mandalika is an important investment that we make for the long-term impact on a region. The tourism sector can be an engine for economic growth in the future. By consistently holding the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, we hope that in the next 5 to 10 years, it can have a sustainable impact on tourism in NTB and Indonesia," said Maya in a written statement.

The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024, held from September 27-29, was watched by more than 120,000 spectators. This prestigious motorcycle racing event is believed to have an extraordinary multiplier effect with an estimated economic impact of 4.8 trillion rupiah.

"InJourney also focuses on improving human resources (HR) by involving local communities. Therefore, in this year's MotoGP event, the number of people working in the area increased significantly," explained Maya.

InJourney held a series of events to enliven the race. On Wednesday (9/25), a Riders Parade was held in Mataram City, which was attended by 12 riders.

Riders participating in the Riders Parade included Marc Marquez, Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marco Bezzecchi, Pedro Acosta, Aleix Espargaro, Jack Miller, Raul Fernandez, Alex Rins, Luca Marini, and Indonesian rider Mario Aji.

In collaboration with BRI, on this occasion, the riders were also invited to participate in creating a Green Tourism Destination by planting 10,000 trees in the Mandalika area. This is a small step towards realizing a sustainable Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK).

Not only that, for the first time, the Pertamina MotoGP Experience Gallery was presented in the world, located in the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit area, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The museum, which was inaugurated on Saturday (9/28), was built to display the long history of Indonesia's participation in the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event.
