SEAToday.com, Galle - The Indonesian men's doubles team of Rahmat Hidayat/ Jeremiah Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan were crowned champions of the Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024 held at the District Sport Complex, Galle, Sri Lanka on Sunday (2/11). The achievement became the first title for Rahmat/ Jeremiah, which was achieved after defeating the Malaysian men's doubles, Bryan Jeremy Goonting/ M Fazriq Razif in the final round.

Rahmat/ Jeremiah overcame stiff resistance to win 2-1 (18-21, 21-15, 21-15) in a match that lasted 48 minutes. They became the only Indonesian representative to win the Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024, among other Indonesian representatives who could not make it to the final.

Previously, Rahmat/Yeremia were paired at the Thailand Masters 2024. However, they were eliminated in the round of 16. They are scheduled to follow the Indonesian badminton team to Malaysia to participate in the Badminton Asia Team Championship 2024, which will be held from February 13-18, 2024.
