SEAToday.com, Doha - The Indonesian eFootball national team won the AFC eAsian Cup Qatar 2023 after defeating Japan in the final at the Virtuocity Arena in Doha, Qatar on Monday (2/5). The Indonesian eFootball National Team, boosted by Elga Cahya Putra, Rizky Faidan and Akbar Paudie, defeated Japan 2-0 in the best-of-three match.

Indonesia met Japan for the second time in the tournament in the group stage in Group D. In the first match, Indonesia and Japan played to a 1-1 draw before going to penalties. The red and white team won 3-2 in the penalty shootout.

While in the second game, the match had to be continued into extra time. The Indonesian national team broke the deadlock by defeating Japan 1-0. With these results, Indonesia were crowned champions of the AFC eAsian Cup 2023.
