SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Grand Prix Commission has announced new fuel specifications and the extension of the age limit for young riders for the 2024 season. This was announced on the official MotoGP website on Tuesday (12/19).

The new age limit will be set at a minimum of 17 years for riders who finish in the top three in the FIM Junior GP and Red Bull Rookies Cup championship standings. This is intended to facilitate the careers of outstanding young riders so that they can move up to a higher class of racing the following season.

In addition, the Grand Prix Commission also approved new fuel and lubricant specifications for all racing classes - MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 for the coming season. The new rules require the use of a minimum of 40 percent non-fossil derived fuel, increasing to 100 percent non-fossil derived fuel from 2027.
