SEAToday.com, Sabah - Indonesian Woman Master Fide (WMF) chess player Diajeng Theresa Singgih won the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championships 2023 in the women's group on Friday (12/8), held in Sabah, Malaysia. Diajeng managed to become the winner after defeating Filipino chess player Ma Elayza Villa, setting her with a final total of 7.5 points from the nine rounds she had played.

For this victory, Diajeng, who previously had the MFW title, moved up one level to International Woman International Master (WIM). In addition, she also received one Grandmaster (GMW) norm.

In the same championship, one of Indonesia's youth also managed to carve out his achievements. IM Aditya Bagus Arfan managed to rank third in the competition.
