Defeat France on penalties, Germany Become FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023 Champion
SEAToday.com, Surakarta - The German U-17 National Team secured victory in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 final against France at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, at 7.00 pm local time. The German National Team emerged triumphant with a 4-3 score in the penalty shootout after a 2-2 tie in the regular 90 minutes. The match proceeded directly to penalties without extra time.
This marked Germany's first U-17 World Cup victory since reaching the final in 1985. This final was a repeat final of the U-17 European Cup which was held six months ago in Hungary. The German National Team, comprising 11 players of mixed descent, went through all the matches at the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 with a win.
