SEAToday.com, Jakarta- Manchester United has confirmed that manager Erik ten Hag has "left his role" at the club. The decision comes after United's 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday (10/27), leaving the club 14th in the Premier League.
"We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future," the club stated in an official statement.
Erik was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024. However, his tenure has also been marked by a series of disappointing performances and defeats over the past two seasons, including eighth-place finish in the Premier League.
Former Red Devils star Ruud van Nistelrooy, who joined as ten Hag's assistant this season, will take over as interim manager until a “permanent head coach is recruited”.
