12 International MotoGP Riders to Participate in Mataram Parade

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Mataram City is getting ready to welcome 12 of the world's top MotoGP riders in a grand parade on Wednesday (9/25). This event is part of the series of activities to welcome the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024, which will take place at the Mandalika Circuit.

The 12 riders include Marc Marquez, Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Pedro Acosta, Alex Rins, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Aleix Espargaro, Marco Bezzecchi, Jack Miller, Raul Fernandez, and Luca Marini.   

The parade is scheduled to start at 4 PM local time and will traverse the main roads of Mataram City, starting from Taman Sangkareang and ending at Taman Udayana.

Troy Waroka, the Executive Chairman of the 2024 Indonesian GP, hopes that the Riders Parade will increase the interest of MotoGP fans and the general public.

"This is one way for us to appreciate the high enthusiasm of the people of West Nusa Tenggara in welcoming and supporting this year's MotoGP event," he explained.

Furthermore, he explained that MotoGPTM racers will continue the activity with environmental awareness actions around The Mandalika area before the race takes place, including tree planting in the Deluxe Class, Pertamina Mandalika, International Circuit which will be carried out on Thursday, (26/9).

Then they will attend the inauguration of the world's first and only MotoGP Museum on Friday (29/9) at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, The Mandalika, Central Lombok, NTB. This inauguration event marks a new milestone in the world of international motorcycle racing.

In addition, there is a series of welcoming world riders in a series of opening ceremonies that will feature 250 talents and be the largest in Asia.
