Maryam March Maharani Judo Athlete to Bear Indonesian Flag at Paris 2024 Olympics
SEAToday.com, Paris - Indonesian judo athlete Maryam March Maharani was chosen to be the Indonesian flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, which will be held on the banks of the Seine River in Paris, Friday (7/26).
Indonesian Olympic Committee Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari revealed that Maharani’s appointment symbolizes national pride and reflects the revival of Indonesian judo after a long absence from the Olympic arena since 2012.
Maharani expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be the flagbearer. She hoped that she can continue to make Indonesia proud and achieve the best results.
