Vidio Announces Extension of Premier League Exclusive Broadcast Rights until 2028

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Vidio held a Sports Media Gathering event titled “Here We Go!” on Tuesday (4/29) in Senayan, Central Jakarta. The event was held to celebrate the extension of Vidio’s exclusive broadcast contract with the Premier League until 2028. With this extension, Vidio ensures that it will remain the official broadcaster of the world’s most prestigious soccer league for the next four years. This achievement also marks a historic milestone, making Vidio the only Over-The-Top (OTT) platform in Indonesia to broadcast the Premier League for two consecutive terms, starting in 2022.
Information about the contract extension was previously revealed by renowned Italian sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, through a social media post featuring his signature phrase, “Here We Go!” The phrase signifies Vidio’s major step in not only strengthening its domestic position but also expanding its international presence.
In an official press release, Teguh Wicaksono, Vidio’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the significance of the Premier League to Indonesians. According to him, the Premier League is not just an ordinary soccer competition but has become an integral part of the lifestyle and daily lives of millions of viewers across the country. He added that with this contract extension, Vidio further reinforces its commitment to remain a trusted home for soccer fans in Indonesia.
Teguh also noted that Vidio is not only focused on broadcasting matches but is also committed to creating an inclusive ecosystem for soccer enthusiasts. The platform aims to serve not just as a place to watch matches, but also as a space that fosters community and strengthens solidarity among soccer fan communities from various regions. “We want to grow partnerships with the community—not only around watching, but also through their participation in our on-the-ground activities,” Teguh said during the event in Senayan.
