Lewis Hamilton 'Membelot' ke Ferrari Mulai F1 Musim Depan
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Lewis Hamilton membuat keputusan mengejutkan dengan ‘membelot’ ke Ferrari mulai musim depan. Hamilton pindah setelah 11 tahun membela Mercedes di pentas Formula 1 (F1).
“Mercedes telah menjadi bagian dari hidup saya sejak usia 13 tahun,” kata Hamilton seperti dilansir BBC.
Nama Hamilton selama ini begitu lekat dengan Mercedes. Pasalnya, ia meraih enam dari tujuh gelar juara dunia F1 miliknya bersama tim asal Jerman tersebut.
“Ini adalah tempat saya tumbuh. Jadi, membuat keputusan untuk pindah menjadi salah satu keputusan tersulit yang pernah saya buat,” kata Hamilton.
Bersama Ferrari, Hamilton mendapat kontrak multi-tahun kendati usianya telah memasuki 39 tahun. Ia akan menggantikan tempat Carlos Sainz dan berada satu tim dengan Charles Leclerc mulai 2025.
“Saya antusias untuk mendapat tantangan baru,” katanya.
