Novak Djokovic Dapatkan Medali Emas Olimpiade untuk Pertama Kalinya!
SEAToday.com, Paris - Petenis legendaris asal Serbia Novak Djokovic akhirnya berhasil menambahkan medali emas Olimpiade ke dalam deretan prestasinya!
Pada Minggu (4/8), Djokovic bermain melawan Carlos Alcaraz, yang berusia 21 tahun, dalam pertandingan final yang berlangsung selama 2 jam 50 menit. Pertandingan tersebut berakhir dengan Djokovic meraih kemenangan dengan skor 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2), mengantarkannya meraih medali emas yang telah lama dinantikannya, untuk nomor tunggal putra.
Peraih medali perak, Alcaraz, yang mengalahkannya di final Wimbledon tiga minggu lalu, mengatakan Djokovic bermain “mengesankan”. Djokovic juga menyatakan bahwa “kami berdua bermain di level yang sangat tinggi, kami benar-benar bertanding dengan keras."
Djokovic telah memegang rekor pria untuk trofi Grand Slam terbanyak dengan 24 gelar. Ia juga telah menerima medali perunggu Olimpiade pada tahun 2008. Kemenangan pada hari Minggu ini menjadi medali emas Olimpiade pertamanya.
