Hanya dalam waktu 15 menit, Arsenal sudah memborong tiga gol masing-masing lewat Martin Odegaard (5’), gol bunuh diri Bogle (13’), dan gol Gabriel Martinelli (15’).
Babak pertama akhirnya ditutup dengan skor 5-0 setelah Arsenal menambah dua gol lagi lewat Kai Havertz (25’), dan Declan Rice (39’).
Pada babak kedua, Arsenal hanya mampu menciptakan satu gol tambahan. Umpan pendek Kai Havertz dikonversi Ben White menjadi gol lewat tendangan keras ke arah kanan gawang Sheffield.
Berkat kemenangan ini, Arsenal menjaga peluang juara Liga Inggris di musim 2023/24. Pasukan Mikel Arteta berada di urutan ketiga dengan 61 poin, hanya tertinggal dua poin dari Liverpool di puncak klasemen.
