Daniel Marthin Persembahkan Gelar Juara Indonesia Masters Untuk Mendiang Ayah
SEAToday.com, Doha - Gelar juara ganda putra Indonesia Masters 2024 rupanya begitu emosional bagi Daniel Marthin. Pasalnya, Daniel mengaku sang ayah yang belum lama ini meninggal dunia.
“Untuk saya pribadi gelar juara di Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2024 terasa emosional seusai beberapa waktu lalu ayah saya berpulang,”
“Saya merasa hal ini mukjizat dan saya mempersembahkan gelar juara ini untuk ayah saya yang di surga,” kata Daniel seperti dilansir situs resmi PBSI.
Daniel menjuarai Indonesia Masters 2024 bersama rekannya Leo Rolly Carnando.
Pada partai puncak, Daniel / Leo mengalahkan pasangan Denmark Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup di Istora Senayan, Jakarta Minggu (28/1/2024).
Usai menang di gim pertama 21-12, Leo / Daniel takluk pada gim kedua dengan skor 20-22. Namun pada gim ketiga, mereka bangkit dan akhirnya menang 21-11.
Gelar juara Leo/Daniel terasa spesial mengingat raihan tersebut membuat peraih medali emas SEA Games 2021 itu meraih gelar juara secara beruntun.
Pada edisi 2023 tercatat Leo/Daniel menjadi juara seusai menumbangkan wakil China, He Ji Ting/Zhou Hao Dong dengan skor 21-17, 21-16.
