Barcelona Officially Wins La Liga 2024/25

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Barcelona officially won the Spanish La Liga title after winning 2-0 over hosts Espanyol in the 36th week, Friday (16/5/2025) early morning WIB.

The victory made Barcelona's points tally no longer able to be chased by the second-placed team, Real Madrid. The additional three points made Barcelona 85 points, at a time when there were only two matches left this season.

Barcelona had hit a dead end when the first half ended but the score was still 0-0. A new goal emerged when Lamine Yamal cleverly succeeded in executing Dani Olmo's pass in the 53rd minute.

Espanyol, who played in front of their own fans, tried to catch up. Unfortunately in the 80th minute, they had to play with 10 men after Cabrera was given a red card by the referee.

The lack of players gave Barcelona the freedom to attack and finally scored the second goal. This time, it was Yamal's turn to send a pass to Fermin Lopez to change the score to 2-0.
