Atlet Diminta Waspada COVID-19 di Olimpiade Paris 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ketua Umum Komite Olimpiade Indonesia Raja Sapta Oktohari mengimbau para atlet yang bertanding di Olimpiade Paris 2024 untuk waspada terhadap COVID-19.
Hal tersebut menyusul setelah adanya enam atlet yang dinyatakan positif COVID-19, yaitu lima atlet polo air dari Australia, dan satu atlet renang dari Inggris.
"Kita bukan hanya harus waspada terhadap COVID, tapi juga terhadap tantangan-tantangan yang mungkin terjadi di pertandingan,” jelas Okto.
Selain ancaman COVID-19, tantangan lain yang dihadapi para atlet adalah cuaca panas yang melanda Prancis. Meski begitu, Okto meminta para atlet untuk selalu mengingat kerja keras yang telah mereka dilalui untuk bisa sampai ke Olimpiade.
