Saat ini, pemain berusia 20 tahun tersebut sedang menyelesaikan proses administrasi dan diperkirakan akan bermain jelang pertandingan melawan Shonan Bellmare pada 30 Maret mendatang.
Pemain yang berasal dari klub Liga Inggris Wolverhampton Wanderers menjadi pemain kelima Indonesia yang pernah bergabung dengan klub Liga Jepang, setelah Ricky Yacobi, Irfan Bachdim, Stefano Lilipaly dan Pratama Arhan.
"Saya sangat senang bisa bergabung dengan Cerezo Osaka. Saya tidak sabar untuk bertemu dengan seluruh fans dan suporter dan menunjukkan kepada mereka bagaimana saya bermain. Mari jadikan ini musim yang hebat!" ujar Hubner.
