Kata Erick Thohir Usai Timnas Indonesia Melangkah ke Final Piala AFF Wanita 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir mengungkapkan rasa bangganya setelah timnas putri Indonesia melangkah ke final AFF Women's Cup 2024 atau Piala AFF Wanita 2024.
Garuda Pertiwi melaju ke final usai membekuk Singapura dengan skor 3-0 pada laga semifinal yang berlangsung di Stadion Nasional New Laos, Vientiane, Senin, 2 Desember 2024.
Tiga gol kemenangan Indonesia dicetak oleh Claudia Scheunemann (6') dan Reva Octaviani (45+1') pada babak pertama dan Octavianti Nurmalita (90+4') pada babak kedua.
"Final! Timnas Putri Indonesia berhasil melangkah ke final AFF Women's Cup 2024 setelah menang atas Singapura di semifinal," demikian tulis Erick dalam unggahan di akun Instagram resminya, Senin, 2 Desember 2024.
Ia menutup, "Kemenangan ini sekaligus memastikan Timnas Putri lolos ke ASEAN Women’s Championship 2025."
Di partai final, timnas putri Indonesia akan melawan Kamboja di Vientiane pada Kamis, 5 Desember 2024 pukul 19.30 WIB. Kamboja melaju lebih dulu ke babak final usai menaklukkan Timor Leste dengan skor 3-0.
Timnas putri menang di babak empat besar Piala AFF membawa tim ini lolos ke Piala AFF Wanita 2025 atau yang dikenal dengan nama baru ASEAN Women's Championship 2025.
Di turnamen tersebut, ketiga tim teratas Piala AFF Putri 2024 akan bersua empat tim terbaik dari Piala AFF Putri 2022 yakni Filipina, Thailand, Myanmar, dan Vietnam.
